MIMC Organization founding member and historian László Bernát Veszprémy interviewed two Likud ministers at the CPAC Hungary event: Amichai Chikli, Minister for Diaspora Affairs and Gila Gamliel, the Minister for Science and Technology. The interviews were published in the pro-Israel Conservative weekly Mandiner.
Chikli said, among other things:
“The situation of anti-Semitism is now the worst since the 1930s. In America alone, last year, there were over 6,000 incidents of harassment of Jewish students on college campuses.”
And Gamliel explained:
“Initially, everyone was shocked to hear about the rape of women on October 7th, the random murder of young people who were just going out to party during the holidays. And it was impossible to imagine what these monsters did on that day. There were five Hungarian hostages at the beginning, three of them made it home, unfortunately one was murdered there, another one is still alive. We are doing everything we can to bring them back.”
